Juvenile Female Cardinal w/ different coloring.

Marlton, NJ

Saw this young lady yesterday and thought she looked quite cool. Do you think she has this light coloring because she's leucistic , or just a change as she grows up? Either way she's mighty interesting looking to me. I have more pics if needed. Thanks!

Does look a little pale (leucistic), though only slightly so (unless the computer monitor is playing tricks with the brightness!).

She is very pretty!

I like her too, this is just the way she looked to the naked eye.

pell,

DebbieDaisy also mentioned that her female cardinal had "less red" than the one I posted in my Birds of the Feather thread. Resin, I'm sure there is an acceptable variation of colors but you're the only guy I know who could find that kind of esoterica.

Thoughts?

Dave
