Hello parrotma32578. We have had some reports on this one. It's a beautiful picture, however I don't think it's velvet lime. It's probably Perilla. Look at these and see if you agree. http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/55780/ Let me know and I will be glad to move it for you.

I have done some research and have come up with the following to describe my coleus:

Family: Lamiaceae (lay-mee-AY-see-ay) (Info)
Genus: Solenostemon (sol-en-oh-STEM-on) (Info)
Species: scutellarioides (skew-tell-ar-ee-OY-deez) (Info)
Cultivar: Fairway Rose

Notice that when the leaves first bloom, they are green with yellow & purple in the middle. As they mature (in the bright afternoon sun) the outside green gives way to the dark purple.
