Missy Mau comes home =^..^=

Bartlesville, OK(Zone 6a)

This is Missy Mau. She is now my ninth kitty so I am back to my name again. LOL She even has Strypurr Lou's birthday April 26. So she was probably sent to me by my precious Strypurr.

I really had no intention of getting a new kitten today when I went to the shelter. As you probably know, I go every Wednesday to pick up the bills to pay and other financial info since I am the treasurer. I had to have a short meeting with the director and she said they had so many many kittens right now that it was terrible because they can't keep them all. She said a lot of them are siamese. I have wanted a siamese since my Snoopy siamese died in 1980. It just hasn't happened until now.

She said you should see the Snowshoe siamese but she is in Tulsa being spayed right now. I was glad because as I said before I really didn't need a kitty. ha ha

Well, the meeting apparently took long enough that the kitty was back and in the front lobby in her cage. OH MY!! I of course opened the cage as she cried at me, and she was up my chest, around my neck and head butting and purring and somehow I found myself saying I will take her, getting out my credit card and adopting a kitty.

I still had to go to WalMart so I came back to get her after that. She had a puncture wound on her chest, but I later found out that it had been a fly worm. ewwwwww, apparently they had found it when they spayed her and they had removed it but didn't stitch it.

I went directly from the shelter to my vet and he said I need to treat it with hydrogen peroxide to keep it open because it needs to heal from the inside out. Not to let it close up. She is also already on amoxycillin just in case.

She weighed a big 2 pounds 2 ounces.

OK, now I knew DH wouldn't be happy but he was really really mad at me. :( He said blue words at me and he doesn't ever do that. Because we really do have too many kitties and they are not well behaved kitties, but I am a bad person and don't think when I am confronted with a kitten like this. sigh

My other kitties may be madder than he is. But the little Missy Mau just puffs up and growls and hisses at THEM and they back up and leave the room. That makes me feel bad too, because I want everyone to be friends. Why I should expect that when they aren't even friends with each other. sigh again

She absolutely loves me though and before the evening was over she was asleep in DH's lap. and wrapped around his neck. He really does love them all, it just is too many.
