Wow...thanks EVERYone. Just got home from the mainland and granddaughter time (WE got to feed a giraff up and personal and I think it thrilled ME as much as her)...and having messed up the trip by confusing days...I had to fly to Kona, rent a car and drive home...5 hours sleep. Have a facial today, will play 'Plants' and go to bed with the birds!!!

My niece loves giraffes, always has. Luckily we have a private zoo close by with several of them, and a baby this spring, they are alot of fun to feed - but sooo big, they can be intimidating just due to size.

To this day, I remember going to visit my grandfather in Chicago, and him taking us to buy " bags of day old bread" to feed the ducks. I don't know that I was much bigger than your granddaughter - Isabella? isn't that her name, or am I remembering wrong?

OH...they are so beautiful and gentle...but I understand they can be quite 'grumpy'....the tongue is incredible....
