What is the foot long flower pod stem

New Port Richey, FL(Zone 9b)

What kind of Brug has the foot long bloom pod stem. It's a creamy pink and the sweetest smell and a very large bloom.I sure do like it. Don
p.s. all my others just have a very short pod stem

Are you asking which has the foot long pod? Or the flower? Or what? Your question kinda included them all in one.

carter, The stem that connects the pod to the trunk on this one is much longer than all my others. It's actually 9 inches long. The pod that the flower bloom emerged from is about 6 or 7 inches . The flower is about 11 inches. It only has that one flower so I don't know if it's just a freak flower or will this Brug put out all the flowers in this same manner. I thought maybe there was a variety that had this characteristics.I'm very much a newbie to brugs and surely don't know how much I don't know. It's growing in pretty much dappled sun for most of the day. It's really doing nicely and getting real big.If it turns out to be a MEM I'd be delighted. Gotcha. I kinda thought that might be what you meant, but wasn't sure. Myself, I think it's a B. versicolor or versicolor cross trait. I've noticed on my versicolors and versicolor crosses that they have pretty long stems connecting the flowers to the branch, and then - particularly with Tiara - the stem sometimes elongates even more once a pod had set.

I suppose it could happen with other species and their crosses as well, though, I've only noticed in on my versis and versi crosses.
