Yes we got our post card reminder in the mail just last week!! We're only an hour or so
away and I'm planning on going this time.(missed the Spring sale!) Don't have room for
too much more...but i'm sure I'll find a few things unable to resist!! What have you gotten
from them, I see there on your positive rated vendor list. Happy Gardening, Terry.

Dennis presented a program on cold hardy bromeliads in Charleston, SC a few years ago, then he had a booth last fall at the Charleston Garden Festival. I love his plants and he and his wife are so friendly and knowledgeable. I have had success with Neophytim 'Burgandy Hill, Neoregelia Zoe, Vriesea gigantea Nova and a couple of other things. All have done well outdoors year round for me here in SC.

Diehard, The place is called Tropiflora and the owner's name is Dennis Cathcart. The website listing in the first post should have contact information. I am sure he will be back in SC in the fall for the Charleston Garden Festival at Middleton but I also know he has a good friend in Bluffton that he occasionally visits. This weekend is his big sale and he is probably busy but if you wait and give him a call later I am sure he could give you a whole list of cold hardy broms. I have a list from him but I haven't a clue where it is at the moment. If I ever come across it I can fax it to you.

I am going to D mail you a name of a local fellow that may have some interesting things for you.

For those of you who need some info on cold hardiness of brom's see this thread. See the charts here> http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/701062/

I would suggest you download the photos into a file and save it for future reference.

For those who don't know - you can go to the photo, click on it to make it big, click on the photo with the right side button on your mouse and the go down to 'print picture', click and it should print.

Here's a Orchid that we got at the Tropiflora Sale last Friday. It has a fragrance that
is similar to jasmine (strong) more like a rangoon creeper. I like the way it flowers too
individual blooms form and come out a few at a time, so it doesn't shoot the whole show on one stalk! Oh, just learned to post pic's...love it!! ( thanks Gordon for helping ! )
