Thanks Al, and blue flowers....my favorite!!

My Brother Brian bought me a beautiful bird bath for my B-day. Knowing how I like lilies......he really out did him self.
There were only 2 of these made, painted by hand. Here's the bottom:

Thank you pirl! What a lovely flower!!!

Quite welcome. Birthdays are generally spent on your own birthday thread so let it hit 90 degrees up in Maine as you sit and read all your greetings!

Happy Birthday Celeste!! Enjoy your day in your wonderful garden. Beautiful birdbath! You have to get a shot of a blue colored bird in it.

Pixie - have the best birthday yet! My gardens look beautiful in part because of the seeds you generously shared with me earlier this year.

Everytime I see the linaria I think of you. Some day I am coming to Maine to visit :-)

Thanks everyone, I had a great day! I got a rototiller that attaches to my Ryobi weed wacker, a dozen rose's(4pink, 4purple, and 4 yellow), the beautiful birdbath, and money to get my hair cut and styled. I think that was a hint that my gray's are showing and im starting to look 47!! I did want to get it styled and trimmed but DD thought maybe a highlight would be nice.
I have never dyed my hair so her bringing up a highlight means that grays must be showing and she knows I will not dye it!!
I have a hair appt. today, I was teasing DH that I may come back blonde.....the look on his face said "Please...NO" He likes brunettes, not a blonde man at all. Funny though....he's blonde and so is his whole family!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Sounds like me. I WAS blonde and always seemed to be attracted to brunettes.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Victor, WERE you a natural blonde?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Si.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Latino blonde?

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

There are lots of natural blond Italians - the ones I have met had families originally from Northern Italy, near the Austrian border.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

My father, who is 100% Italian, was blonde as a kid. His hair darkened as he aged. My family is from Positano, near Naples, and Bari, so we were not from the North. But from my Mom's side I have German, English and Irish so that could have been a factor.

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

My father was also blond as a child - now has raven black hair (well, probably more grey now). He is of northern European extraction (Dutch/Scot-Irish)

I have what you would call "money hair" .you know like a money cat cause it has patches of different colors. Well, no patches but i have a variety of colors in my hair.......must be the heinz 57 in me coming out. I have med brown basew/ lt. brown, auburn and blondes streaks...and now of course, GRAY. Yes, this is natural, one of my daughters has the same colors. The oldest DD has dark brown hair w/auburn highlights. The youngest DD has dark blonde hair with lighter highlights. I must of jumped the fence in my sleep!!
