I got to meet Mickey and her hubby today!!!! She was here in Illinois and brought me a seeding and some seeds..We met up at Home Depot parking lot. I knew it was her as soon as I saw her car with Arizona lic. plates, I was practically jumping out of my pants. But I didn't want to be so obvious and run to her car...lol. I am so giddy, I don't know what to do with myself. I haven't seen a plumeria plant since I moved from Hawaii. I just had to post cause she is so sweet so is her hubby.
I have met so many unreal people on DG. I just love it here and hope to be able to uplift someone too. Sorry, I am lost for words, I just can't find the words to relay how I feel.

Long Distance Plumeria Seeding
I know how you feel. So many people on DG have been so kind and generous to me. I can hardly wait until I have something someone else wants. I got a $10,000.00 scholarship, and one of the requirements is that I write a thank you letter. I asked why it was a requirement, because who wouldn't be bubbling over with gratitude for such a gift. I was told that some student rip up their award letter and refuse the scholarship if they have to thank someone for it. Wow. I haven't yet met Mickey, but I hope to at some point this summer. Congrats to you on getting your plumeria!
Jackie
Hi Jackie and Loren!
We're in Iowa, on our way tommorrow to see the Devils Tower; the mountain in the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind, then on to a few days to Denver. I have my dear plumies with the cat sitter and am hoping that they are ok.
It was delightful to meet up with Lauren! And she gave me a plumeria lei that she had made.Husbands chated while Loren and I talked plumie.
I think we were in Arkansas last week. I couldn't find a plumie person where we were going so I didn't leave one there. I did however see a four foot plumeria in someones front yard in a pot.
It's no big deal to get to meet me. Many plumie people have been kind and very helpful. I just wish to "pass it forward" and thin out a few of my seedlings before I start some more when I get home. I was very happy to have met Loren and been able to give her one of my babies.

Clare,
I wrote to Lauren but didn't hear back from her. She's Hawaiian and loves plumeria. I'm sure she wouled have loved to have gotten a few plants.
Mickey
Thanks, Mickey. They're all gone now.
Loren had some family emergency arise recently so she's a bit preoccupied.. Think she needs a bit of time..
