It's pretty and unusual.

Franklin, NC(Zone 6b)

I remember when that one first came out in the 80s. It sure did turn some heads! Color combinations like that had never been seen before, especially the green halo that shows on the well grown ones.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I have had this one. A great one! Thanks Cat.

Hi cat4gp,

Maybe I'm being fooled but I just purchased a 6th demension and this is what I got. Could the nursery be wrong and sold me the wrong plant? It's beautiful, all yellow, but if its not a 6th demension what is it?
Thanks for any help,
Polly

Hmmmmm, that does sound unusual. I think 6th Diension is a changeable but don't the centers usually stay much the same? You have a very different center there.

I sure don't know what it's name is but whatever, it is beautiful.

I've noticed on some of my hibbies that the colors can vary a bit from what they show you on the nursery website, but for that one to be totally solid colored makes me think it's not what it's supposed to be. I can always see the resemblance between my plant and the picture, maybe it's got more or less of one color or another but I don't think yours looks at all like 6th dimension. Maybe wait until it gives you another bloom before deciding for sure, but I think it's probably something else.

the "dimensions" are usually multi-colored. Hmm....but very pretty.
