I have to take several appetizers to a bridal shower tomorrow and I thought I'd tell ya'll about a fun experiment I'm doing tonight.
First of all, I'm taking bacon wrapped artichoke hearts and brushcetta from my garden (with little french bread toasts).
For the bacon wraps I'm trying 5 glazes and a few plain. Whichever tastes the best will be how I make them to take. A couple of the glazes are sweet and I'm not sure how that is going to taste with the artichokes. We shall see.
Glaze #1 - purchased Greek dressing with feta sprinkled on top (I'm thinking this will be the best but....who knows?)
Glaze #2 - dijon mustard mixed with a little pomengranate syrup
Glaze #3 - purchased french dressing
Glaze #4 - raspberry chipotle sauce
Glaze #5 - soy sauce, a little brown sugar and hot chili oil
I'll report the results after the taste test. Forget cooking dinner tonight.
