Confused Episcia

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Looks like episcia 'Ruby Red Dress' can't decide what color her blooms should be so has produced solid red orange ones and the prettiest yellow ones with a touch of red orange all on the same plant.

Wow, Snow!!
That's amazing when one of my episcias came in it kinda did the same thing...don't remember which one....I thought maybe I remembered the flower color wrong..lol

So are our episcias sporting like our AV's do??? Boy that would really heat the Episcia world up...

Wild_Va_Rose...you've got it bad for episcias! DG is a perfect place ain't it? Gotta laugh.

MsC...I don't know what's going on with this episcia. I think if it had happened before, I would remember. Kind of like it though.

Those bloom colors together are awesome, Snowrose!!!

Wow Snowrose! That is absolutely gorgeous! Don't you wish it would continue to bloom like that and pass that trait along to the stolons? Those colors together are just beautiful. :o)

I hope it does keep on like this. Good idea. I think I will take cuttings from the parts that have these mostly yellow blossoms.

You know I came back to lok at it again..it is so unusual.

It reminded me of my lil sinningia that has put out flowers that are all different...I was working on a pictorial and never got finished.
I had ask Key what wa up with it...cuttings are supposed to come true.
I know I didn't mix them up because I only had one pink one...lol

Interesting..keep us posted

Thanks for sharing it !!
