They are so cute! I can't believe how tiny they are! The second one looks like the "Rio das Pedras' I just got from Jan!

Hope I do her justice with the ones she sent me....

Oh Gail, those are wonderful!! I think Jan must have sent you those. :o) And I agree, the second one looks like 'Rio das Pedras' with the little "saw-tooth" edges on the leaves. I adore the tiny little plants, and I knew you would once they started blooming for you! You can have a dozen of them in the same space as one large plant! LOL

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

what is funny, Patti, is that whenever i get these, I just ship them out as I have always been afraid of them.......just haven't had time to complete trades (poor bmedel and jannich).....I didn't know that they bloomed....

Let me go run and take some pictures of another kind that are blooming!!!!

This is called Sinningia 'MacKenzie'

Those are beautiful with those bright colors, Gail! You'd love 'Tinkerbells' too! http://www.gesneriads.ca/sinni020.htm I have that one, but don't have a picture of it blooming. It's just coming back from dormancy now, so hopefully mine will be full of blooms like that one soon! :o)

That red is gorgeous!!!

I am so glad y'all told me not to throw out my little Sinn puscilla that I thought had died on me! It has come back and looks like it's multiplied in size. I just love it .... the teensiest little plant I've ever had! So glad that someone on here told me about them going dormant!

Now I've gotta get one of the 'White Sprite' .... and, I'm so hoping something happens with my seeds of 'Rio Das Pedras' ... that is sooo pretty! Teeny little plants always scared me! I never thought I would be able to keep something so tiny alive for long!

Thanks for posting your pic's, Gail.

Now I'm off to do yard work before the rain hits!

Emporia, KS(Zone 5b)

White Sprite is a sport of Pusilla. At least I think it is...I have both of them and I had to separate them as they were in the same pot.

Sinn rio das pedra is to cute.i love it.It will reseed and make lots of new babies for you in no time.

Lin,If your sinn rio das padras seeds don't grow I will send you a plant.I must have picked the seeds to soon or something cause Karens didn't come up.

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

I was able to make a baby from the other one but the gorgeous red one keeps blooming instead of growing so I can propagate!!!!!!!!! She is called'Scarlet Red'

(Zone 1)

Jan, that is so sweet of you! I am still watching and hoping the seeds sprout. I figured the terrarium was a good place to sow them. Will keep you posted! Any idea of how long it usually takes for them to germinate and sprout? I can't remember when I sowed them, but it was probably about 3 weeks ago. I'm just hoping they are being stubborn and taking their sweet time!

Andalusia, AL(Zone 8b)

Lin.I don't remember how long before the seeds sprouted.I do no that they bloomed in 5-7 month or maybe that was sinn.Purple crest.I'm not sure.LOL. D-mail me your addy please and I'll get one in the mail for you tommorow or Monday.

Gail, I've already taken 2 cutting off MacKenize to share with others that want one.And the baby plants that was growing popped up about a inch overnight.LOL.
