Did this deer ruin my asiatic lily?

I came upon my lemon colored lily and was anticipating the flowers but a deer ate them. Just the buds. Is it not going to flower this year? :(

That is sad to wait a year for blooms and then have the deer get them, maybe next year you can spray them with repellent.

Venison sausage sounds pretty good to most gardeners.
