A few bloomers...

Houston, TX(Zone 9b)

Here's a few of what I have blooming now or was blooming recently...

First is Axelrose. She's become a favorite of mine.

L'Amour. I'm not completely impressed with the flower, but what I find interesting is the really fat corolla tube when compared to the overal stature of the flower. Kinda cool looking.

Fleming Island Spider. BIG flower. Thick and waxy. Impressive flower. One of my favorite doubles. In cooler weather, it will get a little peachy/orange.

Mountain Magic. One of the best brug flowers out there. Period.

Daydreams. Last fall the first (and only) flowers were small and ugly. She came through those growing pains with ease!! Large "fluffy" beautiful flowers now!

This is an unknown pink. I think it's a seedling, but the tag has disappeared, so I'm not sure. It's possible it's a named hybrid. At this point, it's a decent flower and seems like it's going to be a good bloomer. I'll keep it around a little while.

Earth Angel is another gorgeous flower - similar to Mtn Magic, but it's just a little smaller and stays pinker (MM tends to get more reddish as it ages). Also, flowers are held at an angle (MM's hang straight down).

Perfect Harmony is a superb yellow/orange. Summer is a pale yellow, while spring and fall it's a bright orange.

PH has nice flushes, too, though, she seems to always have a few flowers on her.

Ihilani. I'm not really impressed with this flower. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It's got really crazy long tendrils - that you can't really see because the recurve is too strong. Just kind of ho-hum to me.

Great bunch of pictures. I really like the way Earth Angel hangs. PH would be a hit here. Actually, I think each one of them would look good in my garden. LOL!
