Texas nurseries that ship

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

Can you all suggest any nurseries that are in Texas and will ship? I often find while lurking on your forum that alot of stuff that grows in Texas will grow here in the desert. I do order from Yucca Doo but I am looking for some of your natives.
Thank you

I found two sites for you. I have not ordered from them so this is not a recommendation. Look for them in the Watch Dog section.

Sometimes I wish I did not live in Arizona. One does not ship to Az and I am still trying to figure out if the other does.

Marieortiz ~ that is tough. Arizona has quite an industry to protect in the citrus and other crops they grow so they are overprotective.

We lived there in the early 70's and I am sure it has only gotten worse. I remember when we moved there, we were thoroughly questioned about importing plants, fruits, vegies, seeds etc. They were afraid of diseases and various bugs being brought in...

Have you had any luck locating a nursery that will ship? Plant Delights handles alot of these types of plants although they are not Texas based. Might check them out? http://www.plantdelights.com/

Marieortiz,

This is a New Mexico site that has had a lot of positive feedback in the xeriscape forum.

If you are ever looking for roses, Chamblee's in Tyler Texas is highly regarded.

I haven't used any nurseries in Texas for shipping (Dallas has an abundance of plant and landscaping stores) , but definitely take a look at highcountrygardens.com
