Downscale, I dont know how it looks in surfside right now but we have a VERY NICE ,VERY LARGE black cloud hanging just to the west of us and it is thundering so I have my fingers crossed that it will start to rain and not stop for at least 48 hours!!!
Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes. My wish to myself is that these chest pains i've been having for a month now, will go away!! I am awaiting the results of an ultrasound that was done yesterday. My dr. was out to lunch when I caleld so whens he gets back in she is supposed to call me.
Christine would you beleive that out of all of the hoyas that i have not one is blooming today. I have a few that just finished up but I dont think anything has flowers open today unless davidcummingii still has a few open.

Happy Birthday!
WOO HOO, the big 40 It's not so bad now is it :) ? Happy Belated Birthday, hope you had a great day. Perhaps your chest pains are the stress you have been under from Mom and Gramma. Let us know about your ultrasound results.

Happy Birthday David!!! The big 40!!! Seems like a lifetime ago for me. Life was good for me at 40 am wishing the same for you.
Hope everything is going well with your mother's treatment. The treatments can seem worse than the illness sometimes but the doctors have so much new medicine now days it seems like they are working more and more miracles. This is usually a wake-up call for some families that every day is precious don't waste a minute of it!!!
Please keep us informed what your doctor finds going on with you also. It's hard with the distance between everybody to do much more than pray and encourage each other but know your extended family is doing just that.

Tami, I dont feel a bit different being 40 than I did being 39 or any other age for that matter.
My ultrasound results were great. Nohing wrong with the gallbladder, spleen or kidneys though it did show that I still have kidney stones. I had stones almost 2 months ago and would you beleive that the CT scan and 2 seperate x-rays missed these and they are exactly double teh size of the first ones which were 2MM. These are 4MM and I have a urologist appointment on the 29th to hopefully get rid of them. I also have an appointment with the cardiologist on the 2nd to have a stress test and check to see if I have any blockage anywhere.
I was told when I turned 40 things would start to fall apart but I didnt expect them to all go at once!!!
My mother went for her radiation implants this past tuesday and had to stay in the hospital for 31/2 days. That went very well,in fact it went so well that she doesnt have to go back and get the second one which was to be done on the 3rd of July. Supposedly right now according to the doctor she is cancer free but there is no guarantee that at some point in the future it wont come back.
We'll cross that bridge if and when we get to it,right now we are focusing on the present and what we can do to keep her healthy and with us.
