Newbie from North Florida

Hi to all. :)

The reason I looked for and found you today, in particular, is that I have a question. Is it okay if I go to the proper forum and post my question, or is that frowned upon (newbies posting a question right away)? By searching I can find questions similar to mine, but not exactly the same as mine.

P.S. I would ask this particular question in the cactus/succulent forum.
