The landscaper's assistant whacked down one of my potatoes plants. Is it too late to replant? I notices some eyes on the potatoes in the larder and thought they must be itching to get out into the garden...

I'd like to know that too,but I'm z5. I bought some seed potatoes and got them ready for planting and then just didn't get around to it. I only spent about 3.00 and only had about 50 cut pieces with 3 eyes each, so bottom line I guess, is that I didn't lose out on very much fortunately. Still, if there is a short season potatoe, I would try it. I got mine at the local Agway, but they don't have any left there.
The seed potatoes I got were pathetic, so I'm thinking anything would be better!
