Got bugs...

No. San Diego Co., CA(Zone 10b)

I have some kind of infestation on my plumeria - they are tiny dark winged critters. I've sprayed them off with water a couple of times, but they keep coming back, especially on the new growth. I have available insecticidal soap, garlic barrier, and neem oil. My first thought was to wash them off again then use the neem oil.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Hope these have enough detail - looks like aphids have been added to the mix today! The leaves are getting yellow in them and some have spots. What to do?

I can't really see the bottom left hand picture because it is in the shade, but you could use Neem-it should work well with most bugs. Just be sure to apply it in the late afternoon when the sun is not shining on the plant so you don't burn the leaves. Or early morning and put the plant in the shade for the day-I did that today on one.

Thanks, tigerlily. I did that today. Is one application usually enough? I've never used the Neem, just had it on hand in case I needed it. My track record with plumies is NOT good, but I've never had pests.

Couple of good links included in the sticky - here's one of them: http://www.plumeria101.com/problems.html

Thanks, Chantell. I did check those links, but nothing matches up to what I have. Hopefully, the Neem will take care of them.

I've had really good luck with the Neem oil (except on my darker sedums - doesn't play nice with their leaves) - hope it works for you!!
