Does anyone know what plant/tree/shrub Pintado Hearts originate from? All I can find is that they're from Brazil.
Plant Origin??
It's a type of passionflower with purple fruit. The seeds have a very high oil content so it's used in potpourri and perfumes. Your picture looks much larger than seeds, so I'm guessing it's a thin slice of the pod.
You can try searching for the more common Brazilian name "Maracujá Pintado."
