Two blooms this morning. I'll try for a better picture later. This hibiscus is grafted so it's tall, and I have it planted on a tall container. The blooms are pointed upwards.
***Edited to mention that I took a better picture of the flower later on in the day...scroll down.**

Very pretty bloom!
I would like to see it when it opens fully.
Thanks for sharing. :~)
That is what I love most about hibiscus! Their so cheerful new daily blooms would great me each morning as I did my rounds. I wish mine would start budding. Yours is so pretty Gardenladybug.........so bright and cheerful.
Gosh I really like the eye in this one. Nice picture.
I love that the flowers stand up on this one. Thatsounds like a winner.
Kell, yours have not budded well either???? I thought it was only me this year. Mine are always in full bloom by April and they are just starting to bloom now, when it is way too hot to enjoy my garden.
Gosh, that is really, really, pretty. I love it. Congrats.
They'll start blooming Kell. I'll send some "bloom sprinkle dust your way". :)
I have had a spurt of good luck with them, it also helps that the rains have picked up. Blooms galore.
Wow, great colors and a very nice looking bloom!
Thanks again. :~)
Oh GLB, please do! I need all the help I can get! We won't have nay rain here till November!
Hi Gardenladybug
Where did you get your Lucille from??? Lucille has one of the most delicious yellows I have ever seen. I used to grow her about six years ago or so but stopped because no matter what we did she went through an awful defoliation period. I kept one for myself in a five gallon can but finally lost it last year. Good for you for having that. I miss the richness of that flower.
David
Lovely flower, I really like the open pic!
The plant has a tag from Zoe's Tropical. I got it at a Home Depot. They had a very limited supply.
You probably will have better luck going to the supplier, Zoe's Tropical. I am not posting a link, not sure if Dave's Garden allows linking. Good luck! :)
Yes, I struggle with this one. It does tend to like to lose it's leaves a lot. When not in bloom, it is a small compact bush with leaves, doesn't give the effect of robustness.
