mussaenda in bloom

Niceville, FL(Zone 8b)

I love this plant because it looks like two different flowers in bloom.

Lisa, gorgeous plant. Are they easy to find in your area? I
never see them in a catalog or anywhere.

I love mussaenda too and had a gorgeous white one that Wilma took out... I have JUST managed to replace it!
A good nursery will carry them but they are not found all that easily, especially the white ones.

Very easy. Water and sun. Protection in the winter.

Ok please tell me which variety this one is. I found one that has white flowers but I need the pink!!

This is mussaenda erythrophyla "Dona Luz"

Rylaff, how much protection in winter? Do you move it indoors or just cover it on the coldest nights?

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

They will go dormant if they get too cool. Logees used to state as
much when it was in their catalog. Mine always went dormant even in the g house. 60 was too cool for them at night.

Move to garage in winter

Lovely Plant! I wish I could find them in my area, I would love to have one in a container that I could drag inside in the winter when it gets cold! I've seen huge ones in South Florida in the past ... never seen the white though, only pink. I bet the white one is Gorgeous too!
