Yesterday we had 20 minutes of golf ball size hail.A starling had her nest in the top of one of my climbing roses. After the storm was over, I went to check on them. There laying on her side was the mother. At first I thought she was dead, but a eye popped up and she sat up.Her 2 babies were under here and alive.I almost cried. All our flowers, vegatables, and trees had been destroyed, but this little momma was alive and had protected her children.God blesses animals great and small. This morning I went to check on them and all is well.

Brave mother starling.God bless her
Good going! Probably not Starlings, though (they are hole-nesting birds, not shrub-nesting).
Any photos?
