Well, was out at the ranch but it was soooooooooo hot!!! Surely over 100!!! Still drove around the back fields and did see a few butterflies but the one I've been after is a Reakirt's Blue (hemiargus isola). I see them once in a while on the clematis drummondii (goat's beard) but they just never settle down for a photo.

I can't believe how many southern blues there are! The prettier ones seem to be far west of Florida. The one that I would love to see is the Sonoran Blue. But alas.... they are only found on the coastline of California. (sigh) A girl can dream .....
