Amaryllis Question

Allen Park, MI(Zone 6a)

I have a Amaryllis I got for Xmas; I moved it outside in the spring and it looks good, a lot of foilage.
Its growing in a container
What do I have to do to have it bloom again in December?

i'm not sure, but i think they are normally spring blooming bulbs and after they bloomed after their forced blooming, they revert back to their normal bloom time.
i have found that the ones i've planted in the yard after flowering have bloomed the next spring. i plant them directly in the ground.
i dont know if this helps you or not tho.

I got some amaryllis in seed form through a trade, how do I do these. Just plant? Indoors? Outdoors? I live in zone 8 in Texas.

Cine,
I have only had luck with very fresh
seeds, I pick them from my plants
& plant seeds. I use seed trays
with clear covers, damp seed starting mix and barely cover seeds.
I place seeds trays in my greenouse. Seeds sprouted within 2 weeks. My last 2 attemps have been successful!! It is true these little bulbs will take 2 or more
years to bloom. How this helps.
