Hello All.
I thought I would share a pic of my very first Brugmansia blooms of 2007. This is a morning shot, so the flowers are not yet fully open. The plant is a Rosamond X Ecuador Pink cross. The flowers are not any more interesting than any other pink Brug out there, but I find the plant easy to get through the winter and eager to bloom (obviously!). And it has a lovely fragrance.

The season has begun in Minnesota!
Congrats, Erick! Is this your cross? If anything, it's exciting to see something you've grown from seed bloom. :)
Thank you indiana_lily! It's actually a cross that RikerBear kindly shared with me a few years ago. It's been fun to grow it out from a seedling.

Erick. its beautuful.. lots people especially further north do not know what a brug. is..
Thank you Hope. You are right - the vast majority of people that see my Brugs have never seen them before and have no idea what they are. A few call them pink or yellow moonflowers, but I am quick to point out that they are not Daturas.

good deal I'm from up north of cities.. south till 12 than north.. i'm hoping i get blooms this yr..
I've had a bloom here and there to date but nothing I can call a flush yet. Isn't it fun to finally see some color hanging from your plants? Winter and spring has seemed so long this year. Nice picture, Erick.
Hope, please be sure to post pics of your Brug flowers. I just know you will have many to choose from.
Thank you, Shirley, for the kind comments. It's always nice to hear from you. I am the same here - these couple blooms are all I have so far. NONE of the other dozen or so large Brugs I have in the garden have so much as a rudimentary bud. But that will change soon, I'm sure.
Regards,
Erick
You are doing better than I am, Erick! I have had a few blooms but not on any brugs I really enjoy. My roses have really carried me thru the spring with huge color. Seems the cold we had thrilled them while it killed off so many brugs. So keep posting your great pictures for us!
Thanks Erick. It won't be long and our brugs will make us totally proud. See you later.....
