anyone know how to take care of armadillos?

Bluffton, SC(Zone 9a)

i have been having shallow holes dug in my yard at night, and my neighborhood has a history of them and idk how to control it. answers anyone????

Bluffton, SC(Zone 9a)

A rifle. I see no good use for them and they are a pest. They're not native either, they've been making a steady march north for a long time.

You could trap them and move them somewhere else. Pretty easy to do.

yeah ill go w/ the trapping and relocating. my friend sits on his back porch and shoots them with a shotgun. it sounds fun, but messy, and probably illegal. thanks

PS if it weren't against the law, I'd feed them to the alligators!

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 9a)

Please do not relocate them across the Broad River. :-))))

I've never heard of it being illegal to feed 'dillos to the gators. Has the legislature addressed that one yet? LOL

Maybe you could just *encourage* the 'dillos to go swimming. :-))))))

haha yeah. but i thought it was illegal to feed gators. if not, the that is exactly what i'll do! if i do relocate them, i would send them to GA. what do the lil critters eat that i can use as bait?

Orange Park, FL

c'mon folks,
It's not that hard. Just line the shoulders of the highway with thousands of earth worms. then squash them with your truck tires as they cross the road. Armadillo on the half shell? It's a southern favorite up in the hills.

Bluffton, SC(Zone 9a)

yeah that happens already! our truck got a dent from flying armadillo debris! the problem is that they are also on the golf course and in our yards. i baited the eartthworm traps and im gonna use em in a trap for the armadillo
