Oh, yeah! When they're still wet after eclosing, you can get photos pretty easy sometimes. Lovely butterfly!
That is soooo cool! It's as if she really were posing for you, and you're right, the colors are amazing. It's always amazing to me how clean the newly hatched butterflies are...by the time I see them here, they are dirty & dusty looking by comparison and might even have a little chunk missing from of a wing. She is just beautiful.

Thank you, I am so proud of them, they are starting to build up in numbers at the butterfly garden, so I am feeling really good about that.

Josephine - AWESOME!!! I am getting excited about the lone one I have still in it's chrysalis! I can't wait. I've never been able to get that close to the butterflies. They always fly or glide away from me. I can't wait! Congrats on your yard becoming a sanctuary/habitat for GSTs!!!
