Cat Fur - It's Everywhere!!!

I have two big, fluffy Ragdoll boys that shed non-stop. When my DH adopted them (from friends) he was told that one of the best things about the breed was that they didn't shed like other fluffy breeds. This is apparently not quite true because the house, the yard and my garden is covered with cat fur! My Dh was out in the yard yesterday using the blower to clear up some leaves and fur was flying everywhere. I groom the boys almost everyday and always get a full brush of fur, then get another handful if I pet them afterwards :-(

Does anyone have any grooming tips for me? Or cleaning tips? :-} How do other fluffball owners cope?
