I have water lettuce if you find out what kind of brugs you have.

I have tons of brugs but the only ones I rooted are those

Not to lecture but just so some people are aware there are many restrictions on aquatic plants with many heavy fines in many states for shipping and or selling them. Water Hyacinth in particular has heavy fines for it in many of the Southern States. So please check with your state department before shipping as it would be unfortunate if you ended up with a serious fine you did not know about.

That being said NY is plenty cold in winter so I am sure NY has no such laws around the plants requested.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I am aware of the danger of invasive plants but theres not a chance of them wintering over,I even tried in the GH but they still didn't make it
any excess plants and in the fall I feed them to my livestock and beg for more in spring

we are fighting Water Chestnut (Trapa natans) in our waterways so I do know what you are saying

heck, they sell water hyacinth at Lowes but they are tiny little suckers and they want 4 bucks a piece

Browns Mills, NJ(Zone 6b)

my water hyacinth has reproduced into several plants. do you know how to ship them?

Archer/Bronson, FL(Zone 8b)

CC,

I can send you some parrot feather, the dreaded "H" plant, anacris and maybe even a little giant mimosa. I haven't done any thinning out in 15 months.

What perennials do you have? I am interested in types more than kinds. I have sand, full sun, pines, and lots of drought conditions and no sustained cold temps (ground doesn't freeze, but the air may). So what do you have that will thrive for me here?

Molly
:^)))

Pinellas Park, FL(Zone 9b)

Molly,
I'm gonna tell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. LOL

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Ya know
I can't think of anything but Cactus and Yuccas.........!!!!!!
LOL
are you sure you're in Florida and not Arizona?

I'll look in the morning....and thanks for the offer

Browns Mills, NJ(Zone 6b)

did you want some of the water hyacinth? I have some here, I just don't know how to ship it.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Do you have enough?
I usually wait till my pond is covered before I start splitting them....LOL
I don't want to short you
They come in soooo handy for stuff

Browns Mills, NJ(Zone 6b)

I just have them floating in a wiskey barrel fountain. I wanted to see how they grew so I bought one and a lily. I have about 6 new ones in a month. you can have them if you want them. I'm sure they will make more.

Browns Mills, NJ(Zone 6b)

If you tell me how to ship them to you, I'll send them out monday. it shouldn't take too long since you're only a state away. when fall comes around again and you're collecting seeds or cleaning out your seed box, throw a few in an envelope and maybe I'll have something new to try to wintersow. If that sounds good to you, let me know. Andrea

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I think the easiest way would be to put them in damp paper towels and put in a ziplock bag
I don't think they'll cook in one day
although I'm not sure
are there any plants you're looking for that I might have?
I have some variegated sweet flag that would look good in your barrel

Browns Mills, NJ(Zone 6b)

I'll send them out tomarrow with the other stuff I have to pack up also. I'll send them priority so they should be there by wed. If they arrive in good health and you want to send a little sweet flag, my barrel would like to show it off :) I'm glad someone can use the hyacinth. I was looking at it a couple of weeks ago and it was reproducing so quickly, I don't have any other place to put some. Someday I'll work on making my pond. But until then I might play with my barrel and see how plants grow in water. I think I'll overwinter a hyacinth in my fish tank for next year.:) Andrea

Browns Mills, NJ(Zone 6b)

They're in the mail. Please let me know if they got there o.k. and are still healthy. Andrea

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Andrea
You are good
They look like they just came out of the pond
Not a bruise or broken leaf
Excellent packing!!!
Your is going out today!!!!

Browns Mills, NJ(Zone 6b)

Thanks, I'm new on the trading end so I almost feel like I'm sending one of my little ones off to school for the first time. You just want to know that they got there safely. Thankyou for sending out the sweetflag. How does it like grow? Thanks again, Andrea

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Stuff it in a pot
Its not easy to kill
Just needs water or moist soil

San Diego, CA

I have a few things to offer if you are still able to trade...will send d-mail.

Browns Mills, NJ(Zone 6b)

I got the package today! They arrived perfectly and look really pretty in my barrel. Thankyou so much! Andrea
