Aristolochia Fimbriata, no more

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

these cats devoured my vine in less than 48 hours, for the 2nd time in about a month. I have never seen so many cats before.

OK, experts, what should I expect next?

Send 'em to the south tip of Texas :o)

Okay, that's not feasible. Try to separate the larger instars and hope they'll realize there's no more food and go into the chrysalis stage. As for the youngins - any hope of finding aristolochia fimbriata or native larval hosts at the local nurseries or butterfly parks? They use native swan flower down here (aristolochia erecta) - you might try looking out in the fields for it...but will warn you it's very small and looks almost like grass...hard to distinguish at times.

I recently planted some more A. fimbriata in the back of that bed but they don't seem to have discovered it. Do I just move a couple over to that plant?

Wow Nery!!! you are rich!!! Maybe you can purchase another potted plant, take in the cats, and raise them with the leaves from your second and third plants.
They are so much fun. I hope you will be able to raise them.

Yes, move the smaller ones over to the new plant.
