Who is this little guy?

I finally found the mystery cat on my Salvia. I have a lot of Salvia around my yard in almost every garden bed and constantly find the leaves chewed up. I could never figure out what was eating my plants. Here is a photo of the cat that I finally found this morning.

I don't have a caterpillar book ...... yet. (I did order one off Amazon.com per Deb's suggestion but haven't received it yet. :-/) Can anyone tell me what species of butterfly/moth this little fella is? He's got those white stripes going across the sides of his body and is pretty much a light green everywhere else. Thanks!

One further note: I still have not found/caught the cat that is eating my 4 O'Clocks. I have been trying for over a year to find it and get a photo. But to no avail. Sneaky little devils!

I was looking around and found something that might be it: Cabbage looper (Trichoplusia ni). Darn! I was hoping it was something more exciting! lol

Here's another really good site about them with more photos:

I wonder if it is the same caterpillars that are eating my 4 O'Clocks?

Well, no butterfly that's for sure. Some type of moth...but there are soooooo many. Sure does leave a lot of poo :o)

There is a little caterpillar, leaf roller type, that eats my 4 o'clocks every year.
