Hi Kell,
Did your Aenoium die after it flowered? I was wondering because I just bought one of these and I didn't know they were monocarpic.

It didn't die, but my plant may consist of separately rooted sections. That is, it was once one plant, but where side stems touched the ground, they may have developed their own roots and become sort of independent. I don't know. That's just a guess. I never unpotted it to see.

OK Thanks for the quick reply. There are things that look like side roots from the plant I bought, hanging in the air. They may have rooted if it was in the ground. I am planning to put this on a southwest facing slope with afternoon sun, which gets pretty hot in the summer. Do you think it will survive?

I think that will be fine. I have mine in a pot on the back porch and it gets afternoon sun. It gets really hot here.

Your climate is probably alot like mine so I feel better now. Thanks again.
