Dear friends of Diane,
Sadly, Diane died this afternoon. Please keep her family in your prayers.
Thank you.

1gardengram is gone
Oh, no... I am so very sorrowed to hear this. Diane was such a precious friend and lady. She was one of the first people to trade with me when I came to DG and I was overwhelmed by her kindness and generosity. I still have plants from the cuttings she sent me, and will think of her each and every time I look at them. I will certainly miss her, as I know so many others will.
Prayers going up for her family.
Thank you, pirl.
Pirl, thanks for posting here... it was my next stop after finding the sad post on the prayer forum thread this morning...

I only saw the thread in the Prayer Forum yesterday. I hope her ending was without pain - she suffered too much of that in the last few years.
She was a kind person and I will miss her. Do they have a memorial they would like donations sent to?
I will ask and get back to you and this thread.
Pirl, Thank you
I just wrote and asked Robyn. I'm sure they will all be busy with details and services for some time but as soon as Robyn replies I promise to post.
I am so sorry to hear about this. Her family are in my prayers
Thank you for letting us know. She will be missed. Her family is in my prayers, as well. Pam
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Gardengram. I just joined DG last last year, so did not know her well. From all I've read here, I realize she had many, many friends on this forum. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. I hope someone who knows a bit about Dianne will post here in the "Memory Garden":

Heaven's Garden has another Flower. Rest In Peace Gardengram.
Dearest Arlene,
Mom began a fund at her church to help unwed mothers and we would appreciate any donations being sent in memory of Diane Donner to: Church of the Open Door

Thank-you and all who will help with this legacy.
In His Service,
Robyn
Thank you so much for the information, Pirl ..... a great cause in memory of a very caring lady.
I'm still finding it hard to believe - the fact that she's gone. Diane surmounted all other obstacles and I thought she'd pull through this one, too. I can accept it but it still doesn't seem real to me.
I am so sorry to hear about Dianes passing, My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
I wasn't lucky enough to know Diane but she seemed like such a nice person.
Sue
I still have all her last dmails about her not being afraid to go into surgery......she was perky the day she left for the hospital.....I will send them to her daughter later on.....I am so glad that Arlene has gotten an address for us to remember her by a donation to her favorite cause.....
Sorry to hear of Diane's passing but so happy that she's no longer suffering. I am always happy for my very sick patients when they pass on. And sad for their families who will miss them so much. I didn't know Diane well either but will keep Robyn and the family in my prayers.
God Bless,
Laura
I don't think I knew her but I am still sad to hear of her passing.

I am sitting here with tears as I read all the wonderful words everyone has said about my mother. I guess I should say that this is Robyn and I joined DG today not only for my own gardening interests, as I am her seed, but in memory of my loving Mom. Thank-you all for the kind thoughts and prayers sent to my Mom. Her death was painless and quiet and we all were with her. We all know she is helping the Lord with His garden now.
Robyn, how wonderful to read your post here tonight! I'm glad to know that we'll be able to keep in touch with you, as it was so clear in her posts and Dmails how Diane cherished her daughters.
Welcome to Dave's Garden!

Hi Robyn,
Welcome to DG's! Lots of nice folks here. It's hard to lose your mom, I know. My Mom died in 1984 at 53 (emphysema) and there's not a day I don't think of her and how much she instilled in me, even though I'm sure she thought I wasn't listening. Ha.
Again, nice to have you here and sorry about your mom. I know you will miss her.
Laura
Bless you Robyn, welcome to Dave's Garden...there are a lot of wonderful people here, and many of us had very high regard for your sweet Mama!
Robyn - I left you a message on the Memorial Garden thread for your mom. Please share your garden with us as you shared the work load (and more) with your mom.
So glad you joined DG.
Robyn,
How wonderful to have you here with us.
Robyn, I'm so glad you've joined DG. I hope you enjoy it as much here as your Mom always seemed to. On her memory thread, you said you have her violets. We'd love it if you'd share pictures of them with us. I know it's not the same as having her to call when something exciting happens, but we'd all love to share the joys with you.
Big hugs to you. :o)
Robyn: Blessings to you and your family and Welcome to The Garden! I know you miss your Dear Mom so much. I lost my mom just over two years ago and even though she was not a gardener, and only had one houseplant (one of those good luck bamboo plants growing in water), she loved the beauty of plants and flowers and got a lot of joy out of sitting and looking at my garden and plants when she visited. Your Mom is tending the Beautiful Gardens in Heaven and looking down on you with pride. I know she is so glad you joined this wonderful garden here at Dave's ... so many friends to share the joy of "playing in the dirt" and seeing the beauty in the flowers, as well as sharing in the day to day joys of friendship.
Again, welcome .... we look forward to "chatting" with you!
Lin
