Windows Picture and Fax Viewer

When I save any .jpg item it is saved and opens with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. I like my Irfanview and have to right click on the item and choose open with Irfanview. The Window one didn't use to be there and I don't want it but in searching my computer it says it can't find it. Don't know whats going on but I would sure like to get rid of it.
