How do I prune my Geranium carolinianum? It's full of seed heads.
How do I prune my geranium?
I don't know, but there's a Geranium forum here on Dave's, and some of those folks grow native Geraniums. Someone is likely to know about it.
I grew a few kinds from seed this winter, they sure don't need any pruning yet. Maybe next year I'll see some flowers.
Do you mean deadhead because you don't want it to seed into the area in which it is planted or do you want to "prune" it to gather the seed?
So I could get flowers again?
Ah, now I understand. That's not a re-blooming type of a plant. I don't think pruning it will make it bloom a second time but you could always try it and see what happens.
