Update on my 'Happy Feet'.

Smithville, Canada

Here's a pic of he/she. Still has it's 'eyebrows'. Have done some looking around on the internet and found that there are penguins with the 'eyebrows'. One of those is a rockhopper. Don't know if it will keep it's eyebrows. Will be interesting to see. It's 'belly' and chest feathers aren't completely in yet, so I don't know if that will be white or not.

A refresher on what it looked like back then.

Here's an update pic of some of the 'unusual' looking chicks I bought as day olds 3 weeks ago.
They both have feathers on their feet. The one on the left has more and also has 'fluffy' looking cheeks.

And here's one more pic of some more 'unusual' looking chicks from the same group of chicks. They have little 'hats' forming and the one on the left has the extra toe on each foot. Part silkie?

Halnik,
you sure DO have some "unusual" looking chicks!!!
Any idea what any of them are?

Smithville, Canada

I have no idea. They didn't say what they were and there wasn't any thing written on the box that they came in. My 'happy feet' one is from my own chickens. Roo is a x between RIR and Harco Black. My hens that the eggs came from are : a Plymouth Barred Rock, a Harco Black and a Columbian Rock. Don't know which one it was from. They tend to share a couple of different nest boxes, so I don't know which is which. The egg colors are very similar also.

What pretty chickens, Halnik. You know Ameraucanas have fuzzy cheeks but not fuzzy feet. Maybe some kind of Ameraucana cross?

Hey Cathy ,
Actually I lucked out really well with the Hen Roo ratio! I think right now I have at least two hens to each rooster! I really need to start thinning out my flock! I will separate the Japs soon into color catagories ! Happy feet right now only has one Hen that has shown The Gray markings, but Im still hoping one of the smaller Hens will be one of his harem!

Thats good, soon you will have lots of babies!!
