Need ideas for nesting box posts

Northwest, MO(Zone 5a)

I live on several acres with neighbors on both sides and we have several bluebird nesting boxes that are currently attached to metal fence posts.

Do you have suggestions or ideas of any type of decorative post we might attach these to so that our neighbors won't find it as offensive as staring at metal fence posts.

Thanks, Deb

They have to be on the fence post? Hmmm, Have to think on that one.

Can you possibly send a pic of one where it is?

Actually, metal posts are a good idea - very difficult for ground predators to climb. If you used wooden posts, squirrels and so on would have easy access to the boxes. To my way of thinking, the birds' safety counts for more than the neighbours' aesthetics ;-)

How far above the fence is the house? Whats the diamater of the pole?

Since I have a lot of Western Cedar growing on my property I use cedar saplings
