Yesterday afternoon I received a call about an impromptu birthday party for a friend turning 90 today. Short notice to come up with a gift but DH remembered what a gourmet cook this person is and how he would probably like some fresh herbs. I was fortunate to still find some decent plants (it is already really hot here). This is my quickie, I think it came out well.
What a thoughtful gift for someone that loves to cook! I bet he just loves it!

I love it and it has inspired me to try growingf herbs again. I had tried them in the kitchen window and they didn't get enough light I guess. Then I tried them in a planter in full sun and most of them fried. I think I will do a container on the patio this time. If I can keep the cat out of it.
