Who am I?

Nice double peach that I picked up for $10 at the drugstore (one that has a surprisingly nice garden center, so it may actually be a "good" cultivar, their other hibiscus weren't that interesting though).

Soft pretty peach :-)

Yeah, it was one of those love at first sight plants. I didn't really need another hibiscus after the bunch that I splurged on from some of the mail order places, but I have a weakness for the double ones, and I don't have a double peach, so I couldn't help myself!

Heck of a find for $10. Similar to one I just paid twice that for.

Late in the season for mail order, but that Dupont site keeps calling my name........ :)

I got one just like it at Kroger. They are lovely by any name.

Oh shoot Liz, did Longs have lots of hibiscus? I have to get over there! I do not know where all my time goes!

Sorry Kell, they didn't have too many, they had a couple of the double peach and some single red ones that weren't that exciting. And there were probably only 10 plants total. But maybe they're getting more in, it was a couple weekends ago that I was there so definitely worth a trip to check.

I am going to Armstrongs today. Last year they had lots of hibiscus but this year I have not seen any. I was going to go to the Marin Farmers' Market Sunday to see what David had but just realized it is Father's Day and I have made special brunch plans in San Francisco. I am on a search mission. LOL

Armstrong didn't have much last time I was there, but it was 2-3 wks ago so they may have more now. Berkeley Hort. usually has a good selection too if you don't mind spending a bit of $$--theirs are usually in the big 15 gal containers and they want $30-$40 for them.
