Yellow Leaves, Purple Veins

Ramona, CA(Zone 9b)

I’m happy to report that my plumie survived its first winter with me and is growing nicely. The leaves are about 5-6” long and there are at least 3 inflo’s. However, the leaves seem very pale green, almost yellow and the veins are pronounced and kind of purple. What could it be? Any ideas?

It is hard to say without seeing a picture of this. It could be from the cool May Gray, June Gloom weather. It doesn't sound like a problem in any case. Make sure you use a fertilizer with minors, and it should be fine. Congrats on your three inflo's.

Thanks Clare. You are right it has been unusually cool for this time of year. Is there a particular fertilizer that you would recommend?

TL - http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/599185/ Go down to the 4th (I think) heading...Clare has 2-3 links for that.

Thanks, Chantell, my little helper;-) Chantell knows that I am pressed for time;-) I just use MiracleGro which as minors. Here's my article too: http://davesgarden.com/articles/view/45/
