Oh, I should have mentioned that these were black hollyhocks . They are really a dark maroon but they grew to about six feet and were very dramatic

I'm sorry I don't remember who gave me these seeds. The package was marked "Sweet Peas America". To whomever it was thank you! They growing tall and gorgeous and withstanding the heat (so far).

Siggy those black Hollyhocks are pretty you grew them from seed? ... and in one year? How tall are they?
