This was my christmas present... and i'm happy now.
my Variegated plumeria
That variegation looks a little hit and miss, and there is no clear pattern of variegation. Where did you obtain this plant? Unfortunately, since variegated plumerias are so expensive, there are some unscrupulous sellers out there looking to make a quick buck with some Round-Up. (Spraying Round-Up on the leaves can cause temporary variegation.) I hope you got it from a reputable seller. Here is a picture of a more even pattern of variegation for comparison. This is Kukiat's picture, taken in Thailand.
I hope you don't mind my asking this question, but are you sure that is a true varigation? Do the new leaves have this varigation?
yeah, i'm pretty sure. i juess i can't be posative but i did get it and one other, from Thailand in january. i hope that the variegation becomes more steady. but when i got it, there where no leaves and it was bare root.
I hope they really are truely variegated. Thanks for the display everyone. This is the first I've seen of variegated Plumeria leaves.
Well if there were no leaves when you got it, then it cant be the round up on the leaves theory. You probably got what you paid for, it is just not as variegated as the ones in Clare's pictures. Nice Plumeria! What are the flowers supposed to look like?
i have no idea... I guess it will be a surprize!!
Looks like the sunspot plumie...
Here is some of mine..

I agree with Davie that it is probably legit, but it isn't the same as Robert's because he has some yellow in his variegation. Your variegation just looks very sparse at the moment, and I can see leaves without it, but maybe it will develop as you said.
i HAVE A 'gOLD' lEAF A 'pEACH' LEAF AND A VARIEGATED ALSO.
OOPS caps lok sorry.
Robert are they from the nursery up here my way?
Nice shots man
I knew thered be a bonus lizard in there too lol!
Some are Mike the rest are from my partner in Thailand..
I have about 50 variegated plumies right now along with the Maya's vol1 thru vol3.
But to tell you the truth i am digging the Super Dwarfs and the SuperNaturals she sent me awhile back..
I do love the dwarf varieties
The smaller the better.
Boy Iopaka, that Maya sure is spectacular!!! I haven't seen any of the dwarf varieties..... Tell us more about Super Dwarfs and Supernaturals... Please
I really really really want a variegated one. Can someone point me in the right direction of someplace that carries them and is reputable? I need one, dont care what it costs.
Lisa, Brad's Buds and Blooms had them on his web site not too long ago. They were very reasonably priced. I'm sure he has some in stock. I would send him an email through his web site: http://bradsbudsandblooms.com/index.php?cPath=31
Thanks. I did not see one on his website but sent him an email.
Robert (Lopaka) has them too if Brad doesn't, but you might have to go through a different ebay seller as he is just the shipper.
He emailed me back and has three different ones that should be ready for shipping in a week or so.
Clare, I ordered Maya from him. I cant wait!!!
Lopaka is a full partner not just a shipper ;)
Look up 10 posts.
That's great, Lisa!
Oh, I didn't know that Robert sells directly. I thought people had to order from the ebay seller first before receiving the plants that Robert has.
