If you'd like to get your own free spring water, bring empty water bottles. There's a mountain spring along the way where you can stop and fill them.
Coming up Edinburg Gap Road, just a little way past the top of the mountain, watch for the white pipes on the left. There's a small pulloff. It's a really dangerous place to pull back out going in that direction, though, because it's right on a curve. You may want to stop on the way home when you're traveling on the other side of the road. Or you can go a little further and there's a national forest access road on the left where you can turn around. Once you get your water, go back up to the top of the mountain and turn left and you can turn around again.
The water is tested and I've been told it's the best water in the state.
