when I was little in Baltimore, everyone's regular old red azaleas had the most lovely, delicate fragrance. Everyone had a hedge of them as a border around the front yards. I've been in search of what kind of azalea that is for years. Anyone know? The bushes never got too tall, had smallish leaves, do not remember if deciduous or not.
fragrant azaleas
I had a white one that was pretty fragrant but I never knew the name of it. I bet the people in the rhododendrons and friends forum would be helpful. I just googled fragrant rhododendron azaleas and had quite a few things come up. I hope you are able to find your plant!
