Once I find my cord to hook my camera up to my computer - I'll post pictures of my 13 little darlings....:)
I do have a question though....with the water - I've been doing the 15 minutes on 15 minutes off....including the food.....(didn't want them choking).
I went out there and picked up a Pekin...held her for a little bit....then switched her for another Pekin....this one though drooled big time....and was a little foamy at the mouth. Could this be
from the food and I'm over-reacting?? or is this a too much water thing?? Any advice would be great.....
Yeah....I know mom.....should've bought the book!! lol

Got my ducks!
I think you should call the hatchery that sent the ducklings and ask them what the "drooling" is and what you should do about it.....
Good luck !!

I left for a little bit to get bedding.....and when I came back - there wasn't any more drool....I kept watching when I gave them back the food & water - and a couple were just eating & drinking so fast - they started to drool some....lol.....So - I'm pretty sure that's what it was....I have to call McMurray's anyways to find out how to get the bands off of some of their legs (to tell male & female apart I'm guessing) so I'll be double checking the "drool" thing! lol
Thanks for the help!!
Heather
My ducks eat and drink very fast, almost as if they are in a seizure mode. But I've not seen them drool....

Although I suppose if they had a full crop that got pressed while you were picking it up...they do wiggle a lot... it could cause some fluid to come up and leak out.... maybe

You know, that wouldn't surprise me if that's what happened....because she was in the middle of all 13 being in a feeding frenzy....and she had some food around her bill....
it was when I picked up up that a whole bunch of water/drool came out......Yeah....that's what I think happened! :)
