June 3 What's Blooming?

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

This little linaria or Toad Flax seems to like to reseed between bricks or in other strange place, but I like it.

lincolnitess, that double lily looks lovely. The foliage looks like a little Christmas tree, it's so tapered.

No pics today since it's raining. Yaaaaaaay! I got up at 5:30 to water, not trusting the forecast since it hardly ever pans out for rain anymore. But these are still blooming today - and looking lovely iwth rain on them. (Did I say Yaaaaaay?)

Still mostly roses and clematis blooming here. But I did spy the first daylily open late yesterday. (just a Stella, though.)

Beautiful, Multi-blue is nice even when the petals fall.

The mountain laurel is either Carousel or Minuet, I can't remember which. The hydrangea 'Lady in Red' in the foreground has some blooms just opening.

Thanks, gardengus. Most of my Multi-blue has already dropped the petals in this heat. I was lucky these stragglers are on a shadier side of the rose. Is your pic a M-B w/o the petals? I don't think mine have ever kept that color.

gardengus, what sweet pea is a perennial? I like that color mix.

Here's my last - a shot looking down toward the fence around my vegie garden - with mostly roses and clematis in bloom.

mickgene , The petals on the M-B fell off a couple days ago, and still look good .Photo was taken today. As for the sweet pea My dad gave it to me ,but I've seen them grow wild in the fence rows around here. I have seen other colors but all in pink shades.
