I have a question - was given 2 minis from Optimara at Easter, when is a good time to repot? They are in those tiny pots they come in, the soil is very peaty. If I do repot, is it good to just go up one size, like you would with any other plant?
Also, is it harder to get AV's with variegated leaves to bloom again? It seems mine never do.

Well,it's hard to say for sure about repotting them... if they look happy you could leave them a bit longer. Mini's do seem to like to be repotted more often but if you want itto stay small & cute you could always just repot it with fresh soil in the same pot.
Variegated AV's tend to like a bit more light thatn darler solid colored leaved ones. It might just be taking a rest??? You might also want to fertilizer it,if you haven't fertilized it since you got it.????

Yes, it helps, thanks...this brings me to another question, my mom has one ( a mini ) she repotted and now it is almost the size of a regular AV, leaves and all. They don't stay that tiny size, do they?
