Triplets :o)

Came back from the ranch early today and found a Guava Skipper had laid more eggs. Here's a photo of three freshly laid ones in a small grouping. I have yet to be home when the female is laying eggs...perhaps if I stay home tomorrow I'll keep checking the backyard for butterfly activity.

The Guava Skipper life cycle is semi-documented on another post.

Cat!
Incredible picture! What's the host plant? A specific guava?

The tag just said Psidium Guava....I also have two strawberry guava bushes in large pots but they haven't used that as a larval host...yet. I still have hopes they will make use of those too.
