The perils of recycling potting mix.

Georgetown, SC(Zone 8a)

A cautionary tale. :)
I re-used some potting mix when I put some filler plants in this clematis pot. Now I have these giant gladiolus sticking up at something of an awkward angle. I couldn't bring myself to pull them up when I realized...so I'm letting them bloom and will move them later.

I don't know how I missed the bulbs! Silly me.

I reused some potting soil too, and who knows? Lilies could come up. LOL

It sure is pretty.

I have lemon basil in just about everything I'm growing, because I reused my potting soil too!

I love it when that happens! (and it happens to me a lot)

So...I am not alone. :)
The sweet alyssum in that pot is the result of the same recycling project! (Oops.)
And there's some "unexpected" sedum Angelina in a pot with a red cordyline (looks pretty good actually).
